Anne Baldwyn counsellorMy professional background is in teaching adults and I have worked abroad (Turkey, South America and Nepal) as well as in Colleges of Further Education in London.

I have several years varied experience of working with individuals as a smoking cessation adviser, telephone help line work and bereavement visiting. I have worked as a volunteer counsellor with Barnet Carers where I gained an understanding of the many concerns affecting carers and those that they care for.

My counselling experience includes therapeutic work with individual parents of young children in a children's centre setting. This involves working with a wide variety of issues both general (eg managing anxiety, depression, stress and relationship problems) as well as more specific issues of parenting. I have trained as a 'Triple P' (Positive Parenting Programme) group facilitator and have worked on parenting programmes teaching strategies and behavioural approaches to more effective, stress free and enjoyable parenting.

I also have experience of working with cancer patients and their families.

My work has always brought me into contact with people from many different countries, cultures and backgrounds.

I hold a Diploma in Counselling from the Institute of Psychosynthesis which is accredited by the United Kingdom Association of Therapeutic Counsellors.

I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and abide by their code of ethics.
